To make matters worse, the Old Lady has now been docked 15 points, making it unlikely that they will qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Pogba’s fans are divided on social media, with some wanting him back. Others, on the other hand, would prefer that the Red Devils spend their money on different players.
And the Dutchman told the Red Devils hierarchy that he needed to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, not the 2018 World Cup winner.
In the end, United would be denied, De Jong.
While this was disappointing for Ten Hag at the time, the arrival of Casemiro from Real Madrid was undoubtedly a bright spot in the saga.

While there has been much speculation about Pogba’s return, it does not appear to be a realistic possibility.

And United are still interested in De Jong, as well as a blockbuster move for Jude Bellingham at the end of the season.
