Erik ten Hag is expected to bolster his attacking options in the summer following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November. The Dutchman signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in January, but Dybala – who has won five Serie A titles – would represent more of a long-term option.
Elsewhere, A Bola have reported that United are keen on signing Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa as a replacement for David de Gea, who is out of contract at the end of the current campaign. It is thought that negotiations are underway to extend his contract at Old Trafford, but nothing has been finalised.
The report states that Costa, who recently signed a new deal with the Portuguese club, has a €75million release clause – and Porto are expected to demand that if he is to leave the club. The shot-stopper has kept 13 clean sheets across all competitions this term and was impressive for Portugal at the World Cup.
Costa has made 93 appearances for Porto since coming through the ranks at the club. He has recorded 40 clean sheets during his time as a first-team player.
