In a recent interview with the club’s media, with the 2022 World Cup in full swing, Bastian praised the current Red Devils, who he believes are making the rest of our squad work.
Portugal also really convinced me because they had players like [Joao] Cancelo, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Rafael Leao on the bench. I mean unbelievable.
“But the coaches there did give them discipline. That’s rule number one. He obviously can’t put all his offensive roles on the floor, which is really interesting.”
