Say bye to Graham Potter, Chelsea keep eye on ‘Spain’s best manager’

February 6, 2023

There have been rumors that if Chelsea decides to dismiss its current manager, Graham Potter, they will pursue Luis Enrique as a potential replacement.

There have been rυmors that Chelsea would look into Luis Enrique as a possible replacement if it decided to fire Graham Potter as manager.

According to Fichajes.net, Chelsea has “meddled heavily” with the notion of making a bid for the head coach in response to Potter’s poor performance so far. This comes after Potter’s terrible performance so far.

Although a lot of money has been spent by Chelsea since Todd Boehly took over as manager, the team’s fortunes have not improved while he is in charge. According to fichajes, it’s possible that Enrique could soon be coaching high-priced free agents like Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk.

The former manager of Spain has not had a managerial position since the 2022 World Cup, when his team was eliminated from competition after losing to Morocco in a penalty shootout. If Enrique were to join with Chelsea, it would mark the first time since 2017 that he has participated in club football; at the time, he was the manager of Barcelona.

The 52-year-old experienced great success during his time with the Catalan club and was able to guide the team to an incredible triple in 2015.

If Enrique does end up joining the London club, the managers and coaches at Chelsea will be looking for similar success at Stamford Bridge if he does.

The Blues, on the other hand, appear to have a long road ahead of them before they can win any hardware.

The team managed by Potter is now ninth in the Premier League standings, 10 points behind the slots that qualify for the Champions League and 20 points behind Arsenal, who are in first place.

The Blues will play their next league game away at West Ham, and they will take their newly acquired players with them in the hopes of regaining their winning ways.
