Manchester United are reportedly ‘inclined to accept’ an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this month.
That’s according to French publication Foot Mercato who claim that the 25-year-old right-back could very well be Wolves bound in the January transfer window…
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought the defender to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace for around £50 million in the summer of 2019 (Telegraph). He has struggled to establish himself with United though, and has really struggled for game-time since Erik ten Hag was handed the hot-seat.
And now it seems as though his days in Manchester could be numbered…
Manchester United exit on the cards for Wan-Bissaka
It is being claimed out in France that United will accept Wolves’ offer for the 25-year-old. Said offer is apparently a loan deal, and there is no mention of any kind of an option to buy.
A move to Wolves may well be exactly what Wan-Bissaka needs. The ex-Palace ace is an incredibly good defender. The only thing that holds him back is his lack of quality in the final third. Modern day full-backs are expected to contribute at both ends of the pitch, and that is something that the Londoner clearly doesn’t do consistently enough.
At this stage of his career, he needs to be playing regularly, and he will surely get that at Molineux.
If Aaron Wan-Bissaka is to leave Manchester United this month though, Ten Hag will have to bring in more competition and cover for Diogo Dalot in the right-back position. Whether or not the Dutchman manages to do that remains to be seen though…
