Tottenham are reportedly ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.
The South Korean centre-back has played a key role in Napoli’s success this season and is believed to be attracting interest from several clubs.
According to TEAMtalk, United are in a difficult position should they wish to seriously challenge Antonio Conte’s team for the defender’s signature. The 26-year-old is believed to see himself as a starting centre-back and thus is thought to be put off moving to the Reds due to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane’s solid partnership.
Elsewhere, United are reportedly very interested in completing a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international will be one of the most in-demand strikers in the summer following his superb form this season. The 24-year-old has 23 goals in 28 appearances for Napoli as his club charge for the Serie A title.
According to Sky Sports, United are extremely keen on bringing him to Old Trafford. The report claims that Osimhen wishes to make ‘the next step’ in his career and is looking for a move away from Naples.
Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg added: “Manchester United really want him. We’re hearing that he’s also ranked higher than [Randal] Kolo Muani internally.”
Sport understands that United’s prime transfer target in the summer is Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane and Erik ten Hag is willing to make a move for the striker at the end of the season. Osimhen is also a player of interest but is not deemed to be the Reds’ first choice.
