Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The right-back’s upward curve continued with a solid defensive display. Not as present in attack as fellow full-back Tyrell Malacia. 7

Raphael Varane

Dominated the aerial duels on the ground where he made his United debut in another commanding performance from a world-class defender. 8

Luke Shaw

Passed an early examination by Diego Costa and the Spaniard only lasted a half. Asserted himself imposingly at centre half again. 8

Tyrell Malacia

Offered decent support in attack and crossed for Antony to head straight at Jose Sa in the first-half. Kept up with Adama Traore. 7

Casemiro

A more testing examination than against Forest, his influence was limited by Wolves’ intensity and he was reduced to some cynical fouls. 6

Did not come close to picking the lock on an afternoon so toiling he was replaced by Fred on the hour. 5
