manchester united are aware of a potential opportunity to sign one of the worlds most exciting talents in january Joao felix situations

Manchester United and Liverpool are on alert for the signature of Joao Felix, whose relationship with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is irreparable, according to A Bola.

Felix was supposedly the subject of a €130million offer from Manchester United during the summer transfer window. Now, they should be keeping a keen eye on his situation.

The Portugal international is not happy at Atletico Madrid. In fact, A Bola is claiming that there has been irreversible damage in his relationship with manager Simeone.

Simeone left Felix on the bench for the full duration of Atletico Madrid’s match against Club Brugge on Wednesday. They were held to a 0-0 draw in the Champions League group match.

Felix was frustrated by his lack of involvement. It has led A Bola to report that he wants out of the club in January, since his relationship with Simeone is beyond repair.

Because of the deterioration between the pair – it is noted that Felix feels like a victim of Simeone – a January transfer has been suggested. Some sources in Spain do not think it can happen, but in Portugal, there is a feeling that it is the end of the road for Felix at Atletico Madrid.

According to A Bola, Manchester United still have their attention on Felix. Although they strengthened in attack with the addition of Antony in the summer, getting a player of Felix’s pedigree and potential could be a good opportunity.

The problem for the Red Devils is that their two main rivals are having similar thoughts. The report has claimed that Liverpool and Manchester City are also looking at the 22-year-old.

Joao Felix would be useful but expensive

There are factors that may appeal about any destination. But within the Premier League, Manchester United might be his most concrete option.

They are regenerating their attack, as seen with the addition of Antony. The prospect of Felix joining and linking up with Portuguese compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo would also be enticing.

But after failing with a nine-figure bid in the summer, they will have to stretch their budget again if they really want him.
