Joao Felix said he is looking forward to playing against Tottenham Hotspur as he spoke about his excitement about playing for Chelsea.
Like many other Chelsea January signings, Felix has yet to taste a win in Chelsea colours..
The Blues are in poor form, in general, having collected just two wins in their last 15 matches in all competitions.
The players, the staff, and in particular manager Graham Potter, will be under pressure to win this weekend.
Felix, however, seems to enjoy the challenge.
“I want to play that game, I’m really excited for the game,” the Portugal international told Chelsea’s official website when speaking about Sunday’s clash with Tottenham.
“The stadium is very good. The atmosphere will be crazy and the games between Tottenham and Chelsea are always fun to watch.
“I hope to enjoy it a lot.
“It feels amazing to be a Chelsea player. A big club in a big league. The league that everyone wants to be in.
“I am loving being here. I am very, very happy to be here.”
The on-loan Atletico Madrid forward is expected to start against Tottenham.
He has only been at the club for less than two months, but he has proved that he has the quality to be a regular starter for the team.
Felix’s being happy could also prove crucial if Chelsea were to sign him permanently at the end of his loan spell this summer.
