Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has urged his former team to seek Aleksandar Mitrovic after yet another subpar performance by Kai Havertz at forward. For Chelsea, Cascarino was a forward.

After yet another lackluster performance by Kai Havertz in the forward position, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has pushed his former team to pursue Aleksandar Mitrovic. Cascarino played as a forward for Chelsea.

On Friday evening, the match between Chelsea and Fulham in the Premier League ended in a scoreless tie for both teams. Havertz didn’t even play much of a role in the game, yet he still had a great opportunity to score a goal

While speaking to talkSPORT, Cascarino emphasized that Havertz does not possess the skills of a center-forward and said that Mitrovic is the right type of player that Chelsea needs with his hold-up play. Cascarino said that Mitrovic is exactly the type of player that Chelsea needs.

He said, “I’m sure we’ll talk about Havertz in this dialogue since Havertz doesn’t lead the line. It’s inevitable.” He is not very good at a number of things, contrary to what I was taught when I was a center forward and contrary to what I have seen from other center forwards. Graham Potter, however, does not acknowledge that fact.

Even in the style that he plays, [Mitrovic] stalls for time with the ball. Just what the doctor ordered for Chelsea in the forward position right now Someone to carry the ball in, hold it up, and lay it off, someone to get in the box, and someone to get on crosses.

Since being acquired by Clearlake Capital Group, Chelsea has spent unprecedented quantities of money, but the club has not yet made a significant signing of a specialized striker who possesses a commanding presence.
