Ten Hag confirms selection boost
England internationals Luke Shaw and Jadon Sancho are expected to return for Manchester United against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Shaw missed the FA Cup fifth-round win against West Ham on Wednesday night with an unspecified injury but manager Erik ten Hag suggested he will be fit to play at Anfield. Sancho was also absent against the Hammers through illness.
All three stars have played a key role in the upturn under Erik ten Hag this season. Both Eriksen and Casemiro were brought to the club by Ten Hag during his first summer as United boss and they’ve been instrumental in strengthening an area of the squad that was evidently in need of reinforcements.
Rashford endured the most difficult spell of his career to date last season. However, the England international has been rejuvenated by the arrival of Ten Hag and has already surpassed the best tally during his career, with his strike in the Carabao Cup final seeing him break the 25-goal barrier.
