David de Gea
Beaten at his near post by Wilfried Gnonto and casual in handling Pascal Struijk’s header and again for Raphael Varane’s own goal. 5
Diogo Dalot
Returned to the team for the first time in four weeks and athletic with his overlapping runs. Fine cross for Marcus Rashford. 6
Raphael Varane
A rare evening where he looked uncomfortable amid the intensity from Leeds and he put through his own net. Almost scored at the other end. 5
Lisandro Martinez
One of the few whose aggression matched Leeds’ although he was too open for Gnonto’s shot. Martinez was the most stable of the back four. 7
Luke Shaw
Not as productive with Rashford on the opposite flank but improved when Jadon Sancho came on and did well for the equaliser. 6
Marcel Sabitzer
Took time to adjust to the intensity but started to impose himself and came close with a couple of shots. Decent full debut. 7
Fred
A regressive night. More than once, United fans groaned at a misplaced Fred pass and his runs were counter-productive. Irked the crowd time and again. 3
Alejandro Garnacho
Started sloppily but then had two excellent chances – one wide and one off the line. Dived to win a free-kick and at fault for the second goal. 4
Bruno Fernandes
Robbed of the ball by Tyler Adams for Gnonto’s goal after 56 seconds. Guilty of trying too hard by straying out of position and rushing set-pieces. 5
Marcus Rashford
Oddly started and ended the first-half out of position on the right, though he collaborated well with Dalot at times. Moved nearer goal in the second and scored superbly. 7
Wout Weghorst
So out of kilter with the rest of his teammates, who still seem stumped on how to supply him. Utterly ineffectual. 3
Subs
Facundo Pellistri
Did brilliantly to retain the ball for United to score from Rashford’s header. 7
Jadon Sancho
Direct and made it 2-2 with what was his first goal since September. 7
Tyrell Malacia
Came on at right-back. 5
Victor Lindelof
Played in midfield. 5
