Chelsea are currently pondering over what exactly to do in the summer transfer market and plans are being made.
Obviously they want to wait and speak more to the new manager, expected to be Mauricio Pochettino, before they make any solid moves on targets and decide who to sell. A lot will also depend on which outgoings they manage to get done first.
But the general plan is Chelsea want a new striker, goalkeeper, and a number six, as far as we are aware. The uncertainty being reported around a new midfielder is due to not knowing the outgoings yet. Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Mateo Kovacic could all leave this summer, and of course, there is still no new contract signed yet by N’Golo Kante, at the time of speaking. The club are aware that they need a new number six.
