Chelsea desperate to sign a Serie A striker for £66 million who isn’t Victor Osimhen

March 6, 2023

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been dropped from the Champions League squad, and his league playing time has been restricted this season.

This leaves Kai Havertz as the Blues’ primary offensive focal point, which isn’t working out so far.

The west Londoners have only scored 23 goals in the league so far this season, which is by far the lowest total among the top 11.

As a result, a new striker appears to be on the way this summer. Chelsea are now ‘desperate’ for a new forward, according to Football Insider, and believe Dusan Vlahovic could become available at the end of the 2022/23 season due to financial uncertainty at Juventus.

Vlahovic joined Juventus for £66.6 million in January 2022 and has scored 19 goals in 44 games for the Italian giants.

Victor Osimhen is also wanted by Chelsea, but they are aware that luring him away from Napoli will require a large fee.
