Chelsea will be looking to kιckstart their season when they visit German side Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Blues have only won three of their past 18 games in all competitions, so going into the second leg of their round of 16 encounter at Stamford Bridge, they will be eager for a solid result to take with them.

The most recent match between Chelsea and London rivals West Ham United ended in a 1-1 tie. As a consequence of this result, Chelsea remained in ninth place in the Premier League rankings.

Before former Blues defender Emerson Palmieri scored his first goal for the Hammers to tie the game, Joao Felix had given the home team an early lead by scoring the game’s first goal. Potter’s team had controlled play for the first 30 minutes of the match.

The game finished in a tie despite the fαct that both teams made strong efforts to score, and it appears that the two clubs may compete against one another once more, but in a different context than on the field of play.

Even though they just spent £106 million on Enzo Fernandez a month ago, the Blues are reportedly still planning to make a move for the midfielder Declan Rice of the Hammers. This is according to Football Insider.

The international from Argentina became the most expensive player in the history of the Premier League when he joined The Blues on the final day of the transfer window, but Chelsea still seems determined to bring in another big name star to play with him in the middle of the field. Rice, who is now 24 years old, was a member of the Chelsea youth program until leaving the club in 2013 to sign with the Hammers.
