110 touches, 86 passes, 3 tackles: ‘King of Chelsea’ appeared in West Ham clαsh

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez put in another impressive performance during the 1-1 Premier League draw against West Ham United on Saturday.

The Argentine star had an outstanding debut performance the previous weekend against Fulham, and he had another fantastic performance at West Ham, assisting Joao Felix on his goal with in 16th minute of the match.

Felix scored the game-winning goal on the volley after receiving a superb cross from the record signing that was played behind the defensive line. Even though it was not enough to break Chelsea’s winless streak, Fernandez displayed his usual signs of promise once more.

Sofascore reports that the 22-year-old registered 110 touches and made 86 accurate passes during the game. Over the course of the game’s 90 minutes, he was also quite effective defensively, emerging victorious in three duels and making three tackles.

Even though he played exceptionally well, the club continued their winless streak despite his efforts, hence the man of the match award went to him.

Despite the fαct that Chelsea did not manage to get a shot on goal throughout the second half of the derby, they have every right to be aggrieved by the outcome. There was a blatant hand ball offence committed by Tomas Soucek towards the end of the game.

It was obvious that the star player for the Czech Republic used his hand to deflect the ball away from the goal, so it’s not sᴜrprising that the manager, Graham Potter, was furious after the game and pointed out that Soucek made a superb save in that situation.

As a result of the draw, Chelsea remain in ninth place in the Premier League table with 32 points; however, they could fall down to tenth place if Liverpool are successful against Everton in the Merseyside derby on Monday evening. Chelsea currently have 32 points.

The Champions League should be Chelsea’s primary concern for the time being. They will face Borussia Dortmund in the opening leg of the round of 16 match, which will be a vital match. They are going to start their trip on Tuesday.

The club has not had the finest possible preparation, and given their track record of doing poorly away from home, they will be put to the test. They have gone their last nine games away from home without a victory, coming away with only three draws.
